The s5 is slightly better than 5 inches. 5.1 to be exact could I run into problems using it with the dive if I get that phone I currently have the s3 but I'm up for an upgrade soon.

The S5's dimensions are 142 x 72.5 x 8.1 mm
My biggest phone that fits is the iOcean X7S which (with the hard case still on) measures 142 x 72 x 11 mm and has a bit of wiggle room to spare in the dive so the extra half mill width shouldn't be a problem

thank you. I love the dive so much, it determines what my next phone will be. looks like the s5 is the choice

The Dive Phone space is 73.5 mm wide. S5 should fit. I haven't had the phone in my hands to try, though.

Hi guys,
I realize this post is quite old but the compatibility matrix on the product page says the Galaxy S5 is not compatible with the Dive 5. Is this the case or not?
