DIY OpenDive: How to calibrate horizontal offset?

I have built my own DIY Rift, with wood and 2.5 mm magnifying 5x lenses.
The problem is when I use the device with any unity app at the store I can see two seperate images that don't overlay. Is there a way to set the horizontal offset of the viewpoints or another way to calibrate this?
