Struggling to choose a good window brand in Canada

Struggling to choose a good window brand in Canada

by jony on May 30th, 2025 02:04 AM

Hi all, I’m looking to replace all the windows in my home, and there are so many brands out there that I’m overwhelmed. I live in Ontario, so proper insulation is key. Any suggestions on which company is worth trusting and won't be a hassle to deal with?

It took me several weeks of research before I landed on the right option for our home. I ended up going with https://windowtechcanada.ca/ windows and doors from a Canadian company that really knows the local climate. Their products are Energy Star certified and have performed exceptionally well through two harsh winters. What I appreciated most was their clear communication throughout the process — no pushy sales tactics, just solid advice and transparent pricing. The installers were also great; they worked efficiently and cleaned up everything afterward. If you're in Ontario, it really makes sense to choose a provider that designs their products specifically for our weather.

Windows account for 25-30% of home heat loss/gain. Look for Energy Star-certified windows with high Energy Rating (ER) values (34+), Low-E coatings, Crazy Cattle 3D, and double- or triple-pane glass with argon/krypton gas for insulation.
