Rare ginsenosides are a class of secondary metabolites derived from Panax ginseng, renowned for their exceptional biological activity, particularly their potent anti-cancer properties. Found in trace amounts in ginseng plants, rare ginsenosides have become a significant focus in ginseng research due to their promising medical potential.

To date, scientists have identified over 60 Rare ginsenosides, including Rk2, Rg3, Rh2, Rg5, Rk1, Rk3, Rh1, Rh3, Rh4, aPPT, and aPPD. These compounds exhibit diverse and potent biological properties, particularly in cancer inhibition. As such, they are highly sought after for pharmaceutical and healthcare applications, where they are formulated into anti-fatigue and brain-health supplements, as well as investigated for potential new cancer therapies.
