Is there any way (except rooting) to get rid of the black navigation/home bar on the nexus devices, so that the full screen size is used.

I guess the only way is that the games/software are supporting the new "immersive mode" of Android Kitkat.
My problem with the demo apps/games on the Nexus 5 is that I cannot quit them with the "back" softkeys, I have to go to the task list and end the taks there manually - very annoying.
Other than that, the newly received commercial Dive Version has a very poorly executed/flimsy open/close mechanism IMHO. I´m afraid this little plastik nose holding the front clamp will break quickly.... I´m a bit disappointed by the built quality to be honest.

Dive material does not break you can make the padding softer by cutting it in half or quarters. All the new apps support this feature. I will release the next version of the Plugin soon.
