So, what I didn't know was that you had to have Unity Pro to develop for the Rift. Then I got my hopes up that I could use UDK since it's free, but it doesn't work with DK2 and probably isn't going to. So, looks like I'm just an enthusiast for now because I can't afford Unity Pro, or even Unreal 4 at the moment. At least I can still work on things for mobile while I learn.

hi guys,

I just tried few durovis Apps on a iphone 5s/IOS8 , great but I still find it stomach churning.I know that Oculus has a 20ms latency target, does anyone know what latency is currently achieved on Iphone ( at least 16ms for the screen I suppose) ? is there any improvement to be expected with Metal ? I suppose Unity overhead is slowing down the latency too.

@ dboxvr Thats going to change SOON, unity5 will get an free plugin to support OculusRift, Unity4 also an patch for support in unity free edition.
