How Do You Store Boats?

How Do You Store Boats?

Hi all! Quick question—I just bought my first boat (finally!) and I’m debating storage options. What’s worked best for you long-term? Are dry stacks really worth it, or do most of you stick to wet slips? I’d love to hear your input.

Congrats on the new boat, that’s exciting! I’ve stored my 29’ Sea Hunt both ways and ended up preferring dry stack for the upkeep benefits alone—less hull grime, no algae build-up, and it keeps my Yamaha outboards in better shape. One of the most seamless setups I’ve found is at Surfside Marina , a state-of-the-art dry stack and wet slip boat storage marina and service center in Surfside Beach, Texas. They flush your engines every time and even rinse the hull before racking it. It’s seriously taken the hassle out of boat ownership for me. Worth every penny, especially if you don’t hit the water daily.
