How odd. If it definitely says "Microntek USB Joystick" then I have no idea why it isn't recognised.

But I've come across a bigger problem. The two most popular controllers (Moga and iDroid) identify apparently identify the same way but have different mappings. I have been in touch with the developer of InControl and he thinks this may be a limitation with Unity. :( I've ordered an iDroid to experiment with. For this to work, these are the two most important controllers. If it doesn't, then looks like it's going to have to be cInput so the user can choose their own mapping. :'(

Well, in fact, say "Microntek ....... USB Joystick" with "......." I want to show you that there are an indeterminate number of "white space" between the two words.

Ah. OK. :) that could be why. If I can figure out how to get the other two controllers working I'll have another look at it.

Well this is wierd. I've got an iDroid now and both the iDroid and the Moga Pro do indeed identify as "Broadcom Bluetooth HID" but the mapping on both of them is correct. The gamepad test app works for both of them.

Anyone else with an iDroid fancy giving it a test?

Wordle literally keeps me up at night. Even though I should go to bed earlier, I almost always stay awake until just past midnight every night to solve the day's new Wordle Today puzzle.

It gives me a satisfying lift just before I go to sleep, and it's especially fun since I developed a new, two-step strategy that really seems to work for me.  My win streak is at 32 now, and maybe that's nothing to you, but it's a personal best for me. I thought I'd talk you through my strategy in case you're looking for a new way to tackle the game.

If you're reading this, wordle today needs no explanation to you. The puzzle was invented by Josh Wardle (Wardle -- Wordle, get it?) and bought for big bucks by The New York Times back in January. The online game gives you six chances to guess a randomly selected five-letter word, and if you get correct letters, they show up in different colors, depending on if they're in the right spot in the word or not. It's addictive and fun.

I stuck to the same starter words for a long time, and they'd usually work for me. I was a longtime user of "ADIEU" to get in a ton of vowels, and I would often move on to "STORY," to get the two other vowels (sometimes Y!) and some other major consonants going. And that strategy is still a solid one. I may go back to it if I feel I'm in a rut.
