No gyro for plugin 2.1.4 on Sony Xperia Z1, android 4.4.4

After upgrading some of my apps to the new Unity plugin 2.1.4 I noticed that sometimes the head tracking did not work, so I did a clean test and got a No Gyro detected message. Here's what I did:
I started a new project, imported the 2.1.4 unitypackage and when Unity came with a message that scripts needed to be converted and I clicked ok. I opened the PluginOnly scene., added a plane, cube and cylinder and a point light and saved the scene with a new name. I then built the package with minimum Android version 4.2, installed it on the phone and ran it. And got the NoGyro message.
I did this for both 32 and 64 bit Unity, no difference.
I then did the same with the old plugin package (2-0-r500) and it worked fine.

Hi!
Since Unity 5 you have to tell Unity which plugin will be used on which platform with which architecture (in 2-0-r500 we just supported armv7) This screenshot shows what can be done to make it work again: http://i.imgur.com/GqjgYG1.jpg Also, we have updated the SDK to 2.1.5

The gyro sensor on the Xperia Z1 works fine and is supported out of the box when used with a third party app. If you install the official Sony Xperiacle software, it will disable the gyro.
It is recommended to use Gyro when you plan to navigate using drift hunters GPS as it helps avoid signal loss on weak networks or when the GPS signal is not available.
