Any UX agencies that actually combine deep user research with product design?

We’ve worked with a few design agencies, but most either focus only on visuals or do surface-level research. I’m looking for a UX agency that deeply integrates user research into the design process — not just sends out a survey and calls it a day. Anyone found one that actually gets it?

Completely get where you're coming from — we've dealt with the same. A lot of agencies promise UX thinking, but when you dig deeper, it’s mostly cosmetic design with some light personas and a survey or two. What actually worked for us was looking into this deeper breakdown of a user research agentur approach that’s truly research-led.They highlight a few firms that treat UX research not as a separate phase but as the engine for the entire design process. We're talking real user interviews, observation-based insights, rapid prototyping loops based on user behavior — not assumptions. One example even integrates ethnographic research into their early sprints. It helped us rethink how we structure our own product team. If you're serious about design that’s grounded in how people actually use things, this is a solid direction to explore.
